MindMod is a unique company in the mental health space in India, with a science-backed app that gamifies actions that support mental wellbeing, and a Mental Health Ambassador training programme to equip people to support those around them.
The existing website was almost entirely focused on the app, and failed to communicate the broader ethos and vision behind the platform. With a new Mental Health Ambassador training programme in development, the gap became harder to ignore - MindMod needed a unified digital presence that represented not only what currently exists, but also what they planned to build.

MindMod wasn't just an app. It was a mental health movement with three entry points — play, connect, and train. The website needed to lead with the overarching mission, not the product.

The central challenge was to balance two key things - the scientific rigour behind MindMod's games and training, with the warmth, playfulness, and community spirit that makes the brand what it is.
The existing brand colours were kept but built into a consistent design language that could stretch across the website, course, app, and social media without losing coherence. This included custom animated characters for each of the eight games, reusable components, and a clear typography system.
The website was designed to tell the story of what MindMod is and why it exists, before getting into what it offers.
The scope also grew to include the Ambassador Training course, covering everything from content structure to the actual design of the course experience.

What started as a simple website design project became something closer to building a brand foundation. MindMod now has a brand home that represents its core - one that is playful enough to make mental health feel approachable, considered enough to be taken seriously, and coherent enough to grow further.
Designing the Ambassador Training course alongside the website also showed the value of this approach. The previous product-focused website would have struggled to house it. This new foundation gives MindMod the room to expand in line with its vision, beyond just the app.
